I'm Naomi- a licensed therapist with 8 years of experience, providing psychotherapy to those asking big questions about their lives and the world around them.
My early clinical work was with missionaries and families in Christian ministry. Full transparency- I am a failed missionary myself, with a theological education that I walked away from as I observed the overwhelming pattern of systemic harm. I think it's important for you to know that I bring that experience into my work. It has been a catalyst in my professional focus and continued research.
In 2022, I Co-Founded The Reclaim: a therapist cooperative in Fresno, CA, focused on making space for those who have experienced religious trauma, without the fear of spiritual coercion. We worked closely with the LGBTQIA+ community to provide safe and affirming care in the "Bible Belt" of California. I have worked with folks from many religious backgrounds over the years- Jehovah's Witness, Latter Day Saints, African Traditional beliefs, Pagans, Exvangelicals, Athiests, and a variety of cults. I'm not here to tell you which path to take, but simply to walk with you as you journey.
Therapy is a place to ask questions, name the harm, to be seen without judgement, and find a sense of meaning that supports the fullness of you.

My approach to therapy is rooted in curiosity, compassion, and non-judgment. I use a variety of evidence-based therapeutic practices including Internal Family Systems, Jungian Depth work, Systems & Feminist lenses, and Psychodynamic therapy to guide clients in building insight and finding a path toward healing and congruence.
I keep a Decolonizing and Anti-Oppressive lens in this work as Western Psychology is deeply rooted in colonizing. I strive to hold space that does not perpetuate harm and that seeks liberation.
